Okay, so your 19, with your bachelors degree CFI, II, and MEI? Okay so when did you have time for high school?Or am I talking to Chuck Norris/Albert Eiensteins son here.....I mean I'm just curious.

I graduated early from high school, while taking college classes while in High school. I didn't fool around when I was younger, I got a set up for my future, and wanted to make the best of it. (Not related to chuck norris, or albert einstein though :P )

You are 19 and have your college degree? And you want to be a pilot? Why? You sound like a smart guy, get a MS in engineering or something and buy your own plane. Also, while you are young I recommend buying a back pack and going to Europe for a year.

My advice: Chill the hell out.

Not trying to be rude, but, dang brother......you a missing out on a lot of fun and life experiences. I understand you want to get ahead, but if you are just work, work, work and have no stories to tell or real life learning experiences outside of aviation, I promise you're going to regret it at some point in your life.

I'm big on the wholistic approach to living. It sounds like you're trying to be a 747 captain ASAP. Have some fun, flight instruct, drink, dawg chicks, drink, flight instruct, go on road trips, drink, dawg chicks and/or flight instruct.

Take a deep breath and live a little. You're 19, I assure you you are ahead of the power curve.

I have been trying to find somewhere that I can work and start to get some Turbine time, even if it is SIC for the time being. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions where I could apply. I would like to get into an airline before the ATP law goes into effect, but it seems like everywhere has a minimum age of 21.. (I turn 21 5 days before the law goes into effect). I dont know what to do, and decided to look to all of you for some guidance!!

Thanks!
Dude, Iam 20 with over 1200 Hrs and experience in 7 different ME aircrafts. I still got the "need to be 23 in August 2013" (if nothing happens) phone call from regional airline recruiters. If you have times in many different aircrafts then try aircraft management/ re-positioning and ferry. That is how I got started and loving GA flying. You will have to contact many aircraft brokers in your State to start racking in total time.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Looking back, im very happy about the crazy, senseless, but fun things I was doing at that age. Had I been with an airline then, well that wouldve been a shame.

Get your degree, get your degree, get your degree. You have plenty of time to go to school and use your ratings to teach or fly checks. Sure you may be young but all it takes is one freak accident and your medical is gone. Have a backup!

I had a buddy in a similar situation. He went to work for Dynamic Aviation based out of SRQ flying a kingair, spraying Med Flies or something. Dynamic is nationwide so go hound them! Bring them a pizza and go bs with their employees. Nothing says "I want this job" like showing up on their door steps. Trust me on that one!!!

Like the others have said, go out there chase tail and have fun along the way. Everyone has stories about the crappy hotels we stay at, not many have stories about the time "we were chased out of the hotel in Olongapo."
