Default Showing a furlough on a resume

What is the best way to indicate a furlough on a resume? For example, if I was at a company for a total of four years but was furloughed for 2.5 years of that time should I show that I was at the company for the entire time period or put the dates of actively working at the company separated by a comma?

thanks
