IPC and proficiency for interviews w regional
I now have the minimum hours to start applying to some of the regionals, but all of my time is from primary training as a cfi and as a result I have not done any instrument flying in quite some time. I feel i could get an IPC to get current almost anywhere, but proficiency is a totally different thing. I am wondering if anyone knows of a place where i could get a pretty detailed instrument refresher course and IPC knocked out so that I will be prepped for interviews. Can anyone recommend something or possibly recommend a place that would orient the refresher around prepping for interviews with regional airlines? Thanks!

Fill out the resumes accurately. If/When given the opportunity to interview just read some gouge online. Most places will get you to fly a sim and you can just learn which approaches they fly and practice on MS Flight sim.
The two sims I flew were both a Baron. So I just loaded it up in Flight Sim. Getting use to the power settings along with the instrument panel made it a piece of cake.

Just make sure you show up proficient...any place you interview that does a sim ride is going to care far more about basic instrument proficiency than they are about how well you fly the sim.
See if you can find the profile for your interviewing places, then get into a local sim and get to feeling pretty good about basic stuff, then start practicing that profile.

Like was said before, they are looking for basic attitude instrument flying in the sim. I have done interviews in everything from a crappy desktop sim, to a frasca baron with g-1000 and wrap around screen, to a full motion level D sim. It doesnt matter WHAT it is, its just can you perform BASIC skills in a plane you may be unfamiliar with.
