Why would they invite you to the interview, if there is a foregone conclusion that you are "over" qualified? Is it possible that they are looking for folks that can upgrade fast? Speaking of which, any stabs at how long to upgrade with RAH. If hired and you are assigned to S5; what is the process of getting over to the Republic side of life and basing out of DEN? Any counsel?
Better idea. Go to work for another terrible airline with bad pay/qol. Upgrade as fast as possible and then apply to a real airline with proven stability.
This is not the place to start your career. Especially right now! And it will never be the place to end it! Good luck.

Need help !!
I interviewed with Republic two weeks ago....
When asked which company I wanted to work with I said that what was most important to me was performing well for the company and in short I would LIKE to work for which ever company would have the easiest commute. When pressed... I answered that I would "like" to fly the "Big Plane".... that was two weeks ago... no offer...no reject letter.... nothing.
I'm thinking (Hoping) that they are doing the background/Pria stuff.... I'm thinking that if I was rejected I would have heard that by now.
Input...? anyone...? Bueller?

To go from S5 to Republic you will have to wait for upgrade according to current contractual language. Upgrade will be a minimum of 5 years. More likely closer to 8-10. Republic will be the longest upgrade to wait for as it currently has the highest paying aircraft. (not including F9 which is fenced off for 7 years anyway by the SLI arbitration). DEN is one of the most senior bases in the RAH system due to it being our most "western" base.

I've got an interview on 02/15 and I understand the written questions come from the ATP exam. I have the 2005 edition of the Gleim ATP Test Prep. Does anyone know if there have been changes to the test bank in newer editions? Also, on the Wonderlic test, are you allowed to use a calculator?
