First, turn off the caps lock.
You will probably get a variety of advice here. Bottom line you are not too old, but there are some caveats...
With a family you MUST be able to pay cash for your training...entry-level aviation wages will not allow you to support a family and pay off huge loans. I would suggest that you keep your day job while you train, and pay-as-you-go.
At your point in life you need to already have a college degree (4 year)...if you don't stay away from aviation. Without the degree it will just be too hard and you will be blackballed from the best airline jobs.
Your spouse will need to be able to earn good money...preferably with a very portable skill like nursing. Otherwise you will be forced to commute so the wife can keep her job to support the family.
You will need to research aviation and determine what career destinations you will be satisfied with...major airlines, regionals, fractionals, corporate, or general aviation.
I would suggest that you earn a private pilot license, do a little recreation flying and do a lot of research...after that you will be in a much better position to make an informed decision.
DO NOT take out a large flight training loan without having a clue about this industry.
