Default Skywest Interview

Where can i find what skywest asks in interviews? I want to be prepared to interview with them should I get the call! What are your experiences with them, and the interview process?

Was the Interview hard, long, what type of questions should I be studying. How nitty gritty is the process. What type of a sim ride is it, just basic frasca or an all out rj or emb120. Do they expect you to know the systems of the plane before you go in or is that all stuff they dont expect you to know until you go through there training?

It's the longest interview in the regional world, and some folks think that it's the hardest because it is thorough.

Try to find RECENT gouge online.

Generally, the sim will be in a Frasca or an ATC (Frasca is pretty squirely). You can get SKW-specific sim prep in SLC and at SNA. I can dig up the guy's info at SNA if you need it.

Generally, the interview will cover systems and regs specific to your current job, but Jepp plates for sure. Make sure you know the stuff you're SUPPOSED to know for your current job (theory, regs, systems). I have heard rumors of CFI's getting asked about RJ systems, but I'm not sure I buy that because it makes no sense...unless they want to see how you react in a bad situation. If I were put in that position, I would simply say that I have no RJ training or experience and can't really address it. If you're not turbine-savy, maybe read the Turbine Pilots Flight Manual to learn some basics. It's available at pilot shops or online.

They will look at your logbook and ask the usual HR type questions.

is there classes you can take to get you ready for an airline interview? Airline specific, or just general?

Some of the pilot academies have done interview prep classes in the past. Not sure if any still do, but that might be a place to look.

Default Interview prep

I recommend a company called DFC of Spanish Fork. They have the most complete interview prep I have come across and I have seen most out there. Air Inc and the likes of those companies is a joke, they provide nothing but the more obvious aspects of interviewing and nothing is kept up to date and it's expensive. DFC does face to face interview prep for all airlines and they tailor the class to the airline or airlines you specifically want to apply to. They are in Utah however if a group of 4 or more want to take the two day course, they will come to you. I believe it is 12 hours for $250. I recommend these guys. I really enjoyed the class. The guy who taught it was comical but knew his stuff. He made it fun to be there. They will cover your resume, logbooks, talk about getting the interview you want and then cover all sections of the interview process. If you take the class, they also provide phone and online support until you get your job. A nice guarentee I thought. Contact info was
