Dark Colored tie?

Wear whatever color tie you think that makes you look like a professional. You do not need solid red "power tie". There were all kinds of colors of ties at my interview, and even one guy who was wearing neither a suit nor a tie!
Just make sure everything is wrinkle and lint free, all they care about is that you took the time to look sharp for the interview. Suit and tie color does not matter.

wear whatever you want so long as you look professional. It will be YOU that gets the job and not your tie.
Have confidence...I can get a job on my own with a pink tie, red tie, striped tie or dark tie..leave the interview with more for them to talk about than your tie and you are in good shape

Seriously though, I think that if you take the time and go to TMW, Syms, Jos A. Bank or even Macy's, you'll find some really nice suits for around $185-$239 bucks. Marshalls has some nice fitted shirts, super oxfords for around $19.99-$24.99. Ties should run you about $15-$20. Remember, you don't want to have a break in your pant legs. Cuffs & pleats are still in. Shoes....Cole Haan or Bostonians...you can't go wrong.
