Dark Colored tie?

I think the tie should be fine, just dont be to over the top. When I interviewed, a CFI came in wearing an Aviator black jacket, blue cotton button up shirt, hideous tie, black cotton dockers, no belt and sketchers shoes. To say the least it was all toped off with his bright green sporty's flight bag which he brought to the interview. After my sim ride I was waiting in the lobby to be carted over to the medical facility and I saw him standing outside smoking a ciggarette. I'm guessing he was sent home since he had his sporty's bag and pull behind suitcase w/ him.
