Default Career Change to Become a Pilot at age 39?

Hello everyone,

As a 39-year-old freelance filmmaker, I am considering a career change. I have been interested in aviation since my youth, but I have never had the opportunity to take a PPL course. I live in London and I want to take an ATPL integrated course.
I would like to share a few concerns with you. Is it a major disadvantage to start from scratch to become an ATPL pilot at the age of 39? It will take a minimum of 2 years to start and finish the course, and how do you think I will fare in finding a job from scratch at the age of 41, after taking the PPL course?

It would be a significant investment, and if I cannot find a job after completing the course, I might feel devastated for not being able to pursue my own business for two years.

What do you think?

Thank you for your ideas.
