The "REAL" minimums the majors want?
I read all about the "minimums" but I've had those and I still don't get the call. Yes, I recently used Checked and Set, so hopefully their feedback will propel things forward a bit more. BUT, what are the "real" numbers or what are they really looking for when pulling applications?
Trying to make sense of what's behind the curtain.

What they really want actually depends on your flying background.
The specifics will indicate train-ability, airmanship/responsibility, and goal-oriented. That last means they look for folks who break out in whatever pack they run in. They do give more credit for running in certain packs (mil, regional).
In some cases they'll trade demonstrated career progression for youth, but in that case they'll look for what they hope are indications of someone who would have thrived if they didn't hire him young. College GPA, major, etc. Kind of grasping at straws but if you value youth badly enough you really don't have much to go on.
LCC's seem to like to hire folks with a little experience, but not enough to qualify for the big boys. Flip side of that is many folks are "overqualified" in their eyes.
