NYC, if you can stomach it. Every airline, major and regional has bases there, usually the most junior, top. Live in eastern PA, low taxes, suburban to exurb living, two hour drive to NYC airports, less to EWR. Easy one-leg commutes, too.

Northern DL is also good, PHL and DCA drivable, NYC a stretch, but drivable.

Taxes are low/conceal carry/everyone is armed/ PA is relatively conservative. (Pit/Phl)- no excuse for those cities.

FL has a couple of nice large cities that are easy commutes and so does Houston. Houston has great schools in the Katy area and reasonable housing costs and cost of living compared to the Northeast.

And most importantly, neither have a state income tax.

Thanks for all the input so far! I have been researching a lot of the suggestions in regards to housing, crime, schools, cost, etc. I was actually surprised about eastern Pennsylvania, I didn’t think about looking there before. Every time I talk about it with wife...she wants to be in Florida preferably Tampa. Jacksonville, Daytona, Tampa, Fort Myers seem like possibilities with cost of living with multiple flight schools to get a job at.

I imagine having any regional job or major out of Tampa might be hard. I understand Silver and Allegiant are based in Tampa area but have yet to do enough research on those for QOL and pay.

Don't commute out of Orlando. It Is a real pain in the ass. Daytona is not an option due to lack of service. Tampa good luck with the schools. Jax, check out Fernadina Beach.
