it may work for some. It is not, in any way, equivalent to $450/hour

I'm SHOCKED that there is a Delta pilot giving poor financial advice and trying to sell other people to justify their own bad decisions. Shocked.

Retired. Bad decision - best I ever made. Feel like doing a bit more flying after a 1.5yrs off with pay. Still getting paid for another 1.5 and collecting my pension(s)

I’m not telling anyone to work at Breeze, like I said it may be workable (or not) depending on ur circumstances as an 220A for a couple years. I agree it’s substandard. Seen what you’ll make and schedules at 135 or Frac for first few years? If you are getting started in 121 it’s likely just another place to cut your teeth and get experience. Even some “underwing” time

In any case since you think it’s such a bad deal and you obviously must be somewhere much better why do you GAS?

Any insight on where new hires are getting based right off the bat?

Yes they do, and for the 2% or so that they hire it is a great deal. Doesn't mean that people taking jobs at Breeze are stupid or don't have their own good reasons. The attitudes of people here never cease to amaze me. It is an upgrade from regionals for the many people who, for whatever reason, haven't gotten a call from other places, and could be a winning lottery ticket if they are bought out or get a great contract in the future.

It's not for me, but who am I to tell someone else how stupid they are for taking a job. For the right person with the right set of circumstances Breeze could be the best job out there.
