Agreed. TD was a golden child. I think DN specifically hired him to be his replacement. That being said.... you don't just up and leave a job when you are CEO-elect. His reasoning is to spend more time with family.... well im pretty sure that moving to Utah (he went to BYU) with his family and working down the street as the president of the company is the most family time he's ever had as it is. I don't buy that reasoning. Next to DN, he knows the most about the inner working of this company. Coupled with the Jetblue announcements this week of overlapping some of our routes and the desparate need for consolidation in the industry (Jetblue being the most desparate next to Spirit), I think his reasoning is obvious.... He doesn't want to move to NY and be an executive at Jetblue.
Also, consider this. He probably has more skin in the game at Breeze than anybody beside DN... why would you leave that? Why not just ride it out to the end? He knows how this announcement will affect the employee moral, and whatever was coming next did not deter him from making the decision to leave early.
Then again, management didn't blame the IT meltdown on ALPA so... I could be wrong

Didn't Jetblue have this deal too where nonrevs had to cross seatbelts and clean the cabin after flights under penalty of getting written up and losing their non rev benefits if they didn't?
I believe that was one of the first things to go away when they went union.

I mean... I guess he could be? Wouldn't be the first person to show up at Breeze bright eyed and bushy tailed then leave after dealing with the daily bs. In fact, this is the normal cycle at Breeze.

Not too long ago Robin Hayes stepped down from jetblue due to health reasons (a week before the merger was blocked) and took on a leadership position at Airbus a few months later. TD stepping down to "spend time with family" has the same stench. Something is going on behind the scenes. Him staying on as a "senior advisor" reeks of the company trying to signal stability.

I don't know, it's safe to assume he holds (held?) a large stake in the company. By all accounts things have gotten better here than they have been, he could have left multiple times before, but he pulls the chute now and retains an advisor position in the company? the math ain't mathing right now.
