So I got a DEC interview this week and the request for interview came in hours after application submission. So i take it they are really short on CAs. Question that i have, what are the chances getting a TPA base right of the bat? I have a good gig right now but I commute and its a great commute availability/reliability. Don't know if I would accept the offer if I wasn't guaranteed the base at signing or at most after training.

There are few to no airlines that guarantee a base.

That's not how seniority works. You should talk to all the west coast SWA FOs who thought OAK was a sure thing only to find themselves commuting to BWI for their first month. Forutnately for them it was mostly very short lived and they held OAK their 2nd vacancy.

Over a year for CA. FO, slightly shorter. Only good thing about DEC is money I guess, expect to be sent all over on reserve until your seniority catches up.
