I've been talking to Mike, whose the hiring manager?

Dissappointing

There are A LOT of angry employees and customers right now. The Better Business Bureau is now involved which really isn't a good sign. The company is hemorrhaging cash while suing the Railway Labor Board over the pilot's trying to unionize. This is because of all the issues that get brought up weekly and aren't really getting fixed but "We're looking into it"! There are all the apps to look forward to as well. When one app fails or isn't user friendly, we'll just make another app! It will make you mad.

The pay has fallen way behind industry and the training is poor. It's disorganized and seems to thrive on constant chaos. They will either give you something or tell you you'll get it only to have it taken away. Management is not good. Some really good people left only to be replaced by really bad people. There are a few that really have to go.

The seniority issue is that getting on and getting a number only means you are losing seniority somewhere else. With the pay at the legacies, most LCCs now, and those regional bonuses and pay, you'd be risking a lot coming. A lot of new people will be leaving because of false promises. You cannot commute and they expect you to. If you live near or at a base you may or may not get it. They aren't really good at communication and it almost seems as they are doing it on purpose. There are too many Chiefs and not enough Indians to be blundt.

The best way to describe it is the Iceberg Analogy, "If the Culture of a Society was the Iceberg, than there are some aspects visible, above the water, but there is larger portion hidden beneath the surface".

It's Disappointing, apologies for the extra "S"

It's not

With the utmost respect, it has been flying for two years. I think you can only invoke "It's a startup" for so long and continue to use it as an excuse. This is not DNs first rodeo so one should expect it to be better but it isn't, it's a mess.

It’s a startup that is getting 80+ planes, growing every month. Think about it. It’s a miracle it’s even operating as good as it is now! They’re juggling so many things, not to mention they basically have 3 airline ops into 1. They’ve made tangible changes recently and seems like they’re focusing on the operation stability this year. As far as commuting goes, it’s commuting. I’ve commuted before under the best circumstances and it still sucked. There just needs to be more planes and lines available for better commutable schedules.

Yeah But

That could be the biggest problem is that they are growing too fast. If history has a way of repeating itself, it will. The Titanic was indestructible they said.

They need to slow down and catch up really and sooner than later. All the issues and burning through funds is unsustainable. It simply won't last another two years at this rate and anyone can see it. Why they aren't seeing the obvious or listening is beyond me but the Iceberg is dead ahead. It's not one thing, it's many things. Many a startup have gone bust and if anyone thinks that the place isn't in trouble right now, is in denial. Not trying to slog the place or anyone but things really are pointing in the wrong direction and it is a big risk.

Some real big serious things have to take place to save it. Growing at this rate is not one of them. They still don't have the product right which is leading to a lot of consternation. Breeze thru seems a bad idea. I hope it survives, I do but, it's in serious trouble and it needs all the help it can get.

Who are the angry employees and where are they at? I hope I don’t run into any of them. Haven’t met too many unhappy pax; certainly agree that there are some, though.

Training would be unorganized if you’re inexperienced, anyone who has flown 121 before has no problem. It’s airline training dude, it’s all the same thing. What do you want to be spoon fed??

Last year they invested heavily, and spent a lot of money to set up for expansion. It’s a business investment.

Anyway, not to steer you too far off your rant, and not saying some points aren’t valid, but you sound a little mad. Also legacies are hiring, if you want to go there? Are you even at Breeze???

Late May will mark 2 years, not sure how many people thought that ~18 months was supposed to somehow be profitable or anything, but it will get there.

But back to the echo chamber: Breeze sucks, other airlines good woohoo

SkyBound707 01-27-2023 02:16 PM

Does Breeze provide a uniform allowance of any kind? If so, is it restricted to clothing only or can it be applied to other items?

j12770 01-28-2023 07:23 AM

Breeze Block Time

Anyone have an idea how much you can expect fly per month/year/extra flying time for more money?

Obviously this changes with seniority(first year, second year)/aircraft/base. Can anyone ball park some numbers? Less than 500, more than 500. See it going up or down.
