Does anyone somebody that has been hired with a restricted ATP that isn’t military R-ATP. I still have about 670 till I get to my 1250 but when I get there I’ll have close to 1000 hours of multi turbine and I’m already over 300 hours of cross country and 100 hours for night and instrument. I see on their website it talks about the different types of restricted but I have only heard of military pilots getting in with it.
CFIs\CPL with no ATP are being hired, as well as CPL eligible for an RATP at 1000 hours.

This is nothing new in the industry right now. LCCs are sending CFIs to the Airbus. Rumors is that United will take Aviate pilots straight from the academy to mainline.

Why is it sad? If a pilot can pass the 121 training the FAA doesn’t care if they were a CFI or a Part 135 Turbine pilot. It should be a good thing that Breeze’s training department is so talented they can take a CFI and train them to fly the right seat of an A220. That says a lot about how good their training department is!

Nobody is getting hired in into the right seat of any wide-body at AA and won't for a long time. Different situation than UA/DL which have a higher ratio of WB to NB and some different reserve rules which makes WB Reserve at the Junior bases VERY undesirable. WB FO still goes senior at AA.
