Sure am. Everyone that voted is either a captain or in the right seat by choice. Some guys fly 10-11 days a month and credit 85-90 hours and some pick up extra flying for 300%. There are plenty of instances of pilots making north of 30K a month. In addition, every pilot gets an extra $2k each month which can be used tax free for work related expenses or cashed out if you choose not to use it.
Tell me your an inexperienced A220 pilot without telling your an inexperienced A220 pilot…

the BPC wasn’t just getting started. The BPC has been around for over a year and the company completely ignored it until the Card drive was filed. The C level suite flat out told the BPC we would never be allowed to negotiate with them and they proved that when they refused to meet with us like they said they would. The last in-person meeting the BPC had with management was in September 2021. The PPB say we are supposed to meet every quarter and the management agreed last year to every month for the first year so changes could be made quickly.

If you wanted the BPC to fully represent you, it would have started charging dues as well as the company has not provided any financial aid to the BPC this entire time and the people on the BPC have worked for free this entire time trying to better the life of our fellow breeze pilots. And it likely would have been more than the 1.85% ALPA charges.

The split vote was from the guys who are cashing in by having an unfair advantage and being in managements pocket; they don’t want that to end. And the guys who will retire within 3 years. They could care less about this place 3+ years out.

Well, breeze did hire a lot of SkyWest guys. They aren’t too fond of unions over there, but they do love the taste of koolaid.

It’s like a fun little game of how low can you go…

Can’t even attract 1500 hour pilots now?

Well that’s what I was saying in my previous post. The question isn’t how to attract regional pilots at this point. It’s hard to attract CFIs. Even the legacies are asking themselves this question right now. You all have much more leverage than you think.

The next year or two is about to get interesting. Will LCCs force the collapse of the regionals by hiring all the 1500 hour CFIs? Or will the regionals all meet LCC pay with promises of flow. Or will the legacies just staple their regionals?

My money is on the LCCs maintaining size and not growing and the regional market shrinking by 50%. And breeze not able staff all their shiny new 220s. I’ll also give the new startup connect about 6-8 months from their first revenue flight before they fold. Grab the popcorn.

Regionals can’t sustain LCC pay. 50-76 seaters don’t command the revenue that an Airbus or 737 does. So I’d agree, they’re definitely gonna shrink or go away. But the LCC’s could sustain some growth if several regionals disappeared and all of those pilots hit the street.

They are banking on the reduction of Regional airline flying and taking their routes and preferably their pilots as well as prospective pilots. Just like always, pay goes up when they can only get 2 people to show up for class. Last I heard classes have been full and growing.

Watch the legacies buy up any remaining independent regionals and solidify the flow (maybe even provide mainline seniority numbers) as a way to ensure a pipeline and to also block LCC growth. This will lead to more industry consolidation. No surprise that Spirit, Frontier and Breeze are now starting to hire 1500 hour CFIs from ATP and other training groups.
