Not sure if the proposed A220 delivery schedule will come to fruition but it’s an interesting goal for the next 3 years:

Airbus better increase its A220 production efficiency for this to happen….

Currently I believe there’s about 100. So they need to hire 160 per year not accounting for attrition which will only get higher. Today AA showed their pilot group they take them serious and they know it’s competitive out there. Breeze refuses to do that. I just don’t think breeze will have a chance hiring and attracting the pilots they need. Specially when other carriers will likely follow AA’s suit.

70 aircraft = around 580 pilots by 2024.

Have you seen the modeling of what the Legacies need as a whole for the next 5-8 years? It's like 17,000 pilots needed just for the majors/legacies, FedEx and UPS. The entire regional airline industry is less than 17,000 pilots. This pilot shortage is very real and is extremely dire. There is reason why the majors getting involved with zero to hero flight training programs for future staffing. The regionals have literally zero idea how they are going to attract pilots and most if not all of them have pathway/flow programs to the legacies/majors. Where in the hell are places like Breeze and Avelo going to find pilots? Breeze hasn't even been operating that long (about a year?) and already has to find foreign pilots to staff it. Why would anyone go there over other airlines? You basically need the same quals to work for Breeze right now, as you do Delta. Delta is hiring pilots without degrees and giving CJOs for future sim dates because they can't staff quickly enough...
