Ours is (was) a status quo violation strike. It has nothing to do with current negotiations and did not require us to be released from the NMB. Yes, we are in negotiations, thus both parties must operate in a status quo manner reflecting the expired contracts rules and provisions. When one party violates the status quo and it is deemed a major dispute, the other party is able to seek self help up to and including a strike/lockout.

First of all, please learn the tiles of your representatives. We are no longer ALPO, thank GOD! We are Teamsters. The leadership group is called EXCO, short for Executive Council.
Next, we are in a battle on how to proceed, because the company wants to use arbitration as a leverage, we want to be able to strike as leverage. That will have to go to court, nothing anyone can do about it, deal with it!

For these reasons, Plaintiff’s motion for a temporary restraining order (Doc. 4) is GRANTED. Specifically, Defendants and its members are prohibited from authorizing, causing, engaging in, sanctioning, or assisting in any work stoppage or strike of ABX’s operations. The strike shall cease immediately upon the docketing of this Order and the Plaintiff’s docketing of a supersedeas bond or cash in the amount of $475,000.
