Note to Atlas MEC

He is upset because his BOYFRIEND had his upgrade at NCA canceled.
He blames Atlas pilots because NCA pilots have a ****ty contract and NCA can't hire enough pilots to cover all the flying.
Maybe his boyfriend should just apply at Kalitta. They will have a shiny, new contract by the end of the month. He will fit right in because SOME of the more whiny Kalitta pilots also blame Atlas for their new contract taking so long.

The fact is "screwed"... we know who delayed this contract...K4 mgt with ample help from the NMB.... that said around May when the end game was near.... the company and the NC were actually making progress.. and had whittled things down to a final "offer" which included about 6 or 7 items..... 1224 NOT our EXCO insisted this be a package deal... the only sticking point in that deal... the double crew duty day. So yes when the company rejected the final "deal" it included all of those items.. however the "rest of the story" is that the company had already agreed to all the other items other than the double crew day. Thusly it was rejected... giving DW cover to say.. "its more than one item" holding up this contract when yes technically it was a list of 6 or 7 items.. but the reality was it was a single item. Doesn't matter in the end CA Bourne stepped in and help broker the deal we have today. oh.. and by the way.. The "final offer"... the counter from the company was 24 hours for the double crew day (6 less than our current book) which our NC was ready to accept.. but told by the Union Lawyers that the EBoard wouldnt sign off on that deal because of the LOA the EXCO chairman of 2224 had signed some 3+ years ago.... in the end the deal brokered by CA Bourne was to arbitrate the SINGLE item of double crew duty day. The arbitration agreement along with the other agreed upon items dates back to the JULY neg session. That is the deal the pilots of K4 currently are voting on...UP or DOWN... we will know in about 2 weeks. It really matters not at this point who, what or when.. just that we are where we are...If its good enough OUR pilots will vote it in... if its NOT.. they wont... and this mess will continue for another year or two... 50%+1 to go either way...
Here is to hoping that the pilots of ABX, Atlas and Southern don't have to endure the crap fest we have for the past nearly 6 years.
