I very much appreciate the info. I'd be a commuter, and the family needs me around almost as much as they need to eat. I've got a pretty good gig right now, so I think Ill stay put to build time and hope a Legacy calls.

I wish you guys the best of luck in negotiations. It sounds like the one bright spot in your Southern Hostage Situation is that you have a good pilot group. I would have liked to have spent some deck time with you guys!

If he's one of those guys who just comes here just to toss ca-ca, well...he certainly wouldn't be the first. Given the substandard pay and QOL all DHL contractors face, and the near-impossibility of getting them corrected in the near future, I don't know why anybody would want to add to his fellow airman's misery, but some do.

Hello guys I had a question about logging time flying the 777. How do you guys do it? are you able to log the whole flight time even when you are resting or only the time you are in seat? Also how does the flying get assigned for the FO's? I'm assuming its 1 captain & 3 FO. Do the FO's have to go back to sim a lot for the 3 bounces every 90 days or is there enough rotation between flying pilot & cruise pilot to avoid that? Thanks guys!

Yeah, you log all the time. Some foreign carriers only credit some of your P3(IRO) time, if you're looking for a gig in the sand box, but you're a required crewmember from block out to block in. Crew scheduling usually rotates the flying amongst the FOs, but if someone needs a landing, or wants a certain leg you can arrange to switch things up. Rarely will someone have to go back to the sim for landings, but it happens from time to time.
