Being stuck at the bottom of the 777 seniority, will one fly or just sit reserve all the time?

Brilliant suggestions.

Quick question: without a jumpseat agreement with those airlines, what exactly would one do with the information gleaned?

You will still fly your arse off. There is no true "reserve" at SAI and nobody stays at the bottom for very long anyways.

That's not a hobby! What kind of freight dog are you? You should be getting paid for that! Of course you may end up like the guy in the movie Deliveryman but at least you'll have a big family to love ya. Lol

That's exactly right and what I thought. All this banter back-n-forth all the rhetoric, every job has pros and cons. I, like others have had bad ones, but despite all the management/company BS, I love the people I fly with. That bond can't be broken. I can't wait to meet the guys/gals I'll fly with and share stories. We all make sacrifices for the better of our lives and enrich our families. Aviation to me is not a one job/company stop, its a culmination of experiences and passion for flying. Money!? I like the line in Star Trek, "We don't have money, we work to better ourselves." Maybe one day when I'm dead and it's 2115, but still. LOL Im happy to come play with a 737, its been a dream to fly a Boeing. My buddies at the regional who have been flying for the last year still hoping to make captain in a few months to get paid 60$ an hour are jealous, so it could be worse. I get to move locations and try something different. So, yeah... Happy as all get-out!

Reliably confirmed: No 5th 777F.

Probably officially announced in the near future.

Knowing the company they will still tell us that it's "in the works" perpetually holding out that carrot.

Totally worth dragging down the industry so you can "play with a 737". Grow up. Some of us have families to feed.

And here I thought SJS only affected low time pilots.

Or is this a new strain? SBS?

So Ryan Piper quit? Went to work at a trucking company? That's smart; guess he didn't want to take the blame for Soapers short-sighted attitudes with the 737, and pilots in general.

Good luck guys.
