Southern Air Interview

Apart from the three letters of recommendation you need to upgrade, the GOM also requires either 2500 TT and 1000 PIC in "Large Group II Transport Category aircraft (turbojets above 41,000 lb), or 1500 SIC in Large Group II Transport Category aircraft (turbojets above 41,000 lb) and 500 hours company time .
If you come here looking for a quick upgrade, make sure you have the prerequisite experience. You will only log about 500 hours a year on the Guppy.

A bit off the running theme of the latest posts
The offer letter says something about not making big changes until all the background checks have been verified. Did anybody get such confirmation email or heard anything to that effect, or is the next expected email going to be the travel/hotel/training details?
Thanks!

Welcome aboard everyone.
I think y'all will have a great time. Maybe with a few years behind you'll become jaded/bitter/not-give-a...... But SAI like every other job in the world should just be a way for you to refill the ATM each month and pay for everyday life and a few adventures. Some jobs pay a lot more and refill the ATM quicker...doctor/lawyer/stock broker/drug dealer/ FDX WB captain etc.......but there are a whole pile of jobs that pay worse and are much more difficult than what we do as pilots. Come to work, do your job, go home, and forget about work and enjoy the rest of your life. Hopefully airline flying is not the most exciting thing you do. If it is...find another hobby.
We're happy to see you join us! First beer is on me.
