They offered me 777 May 26th.
My qualifications are:
3010TT
2760 turbine SIC
1100 turbo-jet
290 PIC (not turbine)
Still on the fence. They want an answer today. Im at least 2-3 years away from upgrade at my current regional. Live in base. 15-18 days off per month. Trying to decide if its worth it to give it all up. But at 26 years young, what do I have to lose? (no kids/wife)

Based on your circumstances that you stated above………GO. Although you may get kicked around some, at 26, you will be gaining ultra valuable experience that will really set you apart from all the other rj pilots. I was in your shoes, and going to S.A. was one of the best decisions I ever made………maybe the only one.

If I were you I would definitely come over. I'm a 777 guy and the above post is spot on. You'll get a 777 type, class 2 Nav, and international experience. With all of the open time that is avalible you can make some coin as well.

I would accept the 777 class. Our CBA currently imposes a 3 year equipment lock. HOWEVER, that does not apply if you are upgrading from FO to CA in another airframe. Take the 777 type and experience and once you think you have enough time flying around the globe bid captain on the B737 to further your transport category jet PIC. You will be in a prime position to move on to greener pastures.
You'll probably have 1000 hours of B777 international time in a year and a half or less.
