That's an understatement.
captjns definitely went off the reservation pretty early on this. Bad day? Misunderstood printed word? Who knows.
You guys are arguing about something that's now been determined isn't happening. There is no jumpseating for company business in this case.
Point of Order to Flying Boxes: If you're going to call someone out for misconstruing posts, it's best if you don't do the same thing.
Referring to "minority problem children" isn't racist . I'm exercising some restraint and being fairly diplomatic here, but it's hard.
His comment was basically saying that most FOs (the "majority" he refers to) are going to 'fess up and take responsibility for being late. A small number of them (aka, the "minority") may decide to argue the matter of being late. For those few pilots, the price of learning the errors of their ways may be high.

Misunderstanding based on use of english?
That's an understatement.

If I wrongly offended anyone, I am truly sorry. No pretentiousness on my part, I make mistakes and own up to them. If I wrongly offend someone, I apologize for the offense and ask for forgiveness.
But when I read the "privileged" F/O earlier and then the word minority, I thought he was referring to a group that was not white male.
Perhaps the confusion is an implied preposition. (no english major here, had to look it up!)
"As for the minority problem children???"; which I understood to be racist.
Instead of "As for the minority of problem children???"; which would mean the small number of problem children.
Again, sorry if I offended anyone!

This inability to understand generic internet banter is not new for him. And he doesn't know anything about my background! Although, Cpatjns, I did notice you checked my profile.
A sarcastic statement form me about a rude and racist comment and he went straight to personal attack. I don't think it would be out of place for him to apologize. But that takes a big person.

Fab, you definitely have way too much time on your hands. Try melting bars of soap together to make a larger bar. you probably gain better self satisfaction.
Cheers!

I'm a person that would gladly own up to my mistakes.....This industry is too small NOT to......But.....I would love to ease back to the Original Discussion of this thread.
I've applied and still have not heard anything...I would love to get back to this type of flying...And I would NOT be late and just would like to find out How to be Called To Interview?
Any Help Is Appreciated.

Which type of flying do you want to get back to? The type where you work for an awful company, industry low pay, furloughs at will?
If it's night freight you are after, find another gig.
I could ONLY see this as a reasonable option if you lived in Cincinatti.

Hey Bro,
I noticed you have quite a bit of worldwide flying experience.
I am curious if you or any of the other expats are trying to return to the U.S. flying scene now that the majors are back hiring. I am trying to get a job flying at Hawaiian Airlines and was wondering if maybe I should turn my efforts to overseas work as that may be better experience for my goal. I'm assuming it may be easier to land a job in Asia now that things have picked up over here. When I was in HI several weeks back, many of the HAL pilots I talked with were originally from outside the U.S.
Peace
