Captain's airline or not...it only takes on pilot (and it can be you!!) to say no to a CBA violation, a non-compliant Deadhead, a bad hotel, etc...some of our weakass Captains need the nudge from some of the hardasses like me and you to help them make the right decision!!

It takes a crew to fly the trip, it only takes one pilot to say no...just say no!!

Seat locks is a misnomer...it is actually a bidding freeze!!

And several 767 Captains (those that went to school in June and July of 2011) have already had their freezes lifted. After those four, there were three classes of Captains trained starting class in August, September, and October, 2011.

The first of three initial FO classes started training in September, followed by others in October, and November, 2011.

So, the bidding freezes will lifted in subsequent awards this fall. Be patient, young grasshopper.

I'm a 747 guy with 29 767 FOs in front of me so it'll give my relative seniority a slight dip, but I just feel for them. If the company holds up new 747 spots and open time comes open I'll feel as if the company just wants to keep them there as long as possible. Fair is fair and I really hope in the next two months they start having classes for them.

I'm not sure if that's true anymore. A recent new-hire that had a good internal rec tried for years to get an interview. After a direct inquiry at HR by the senior pilot, he was told the rec never went through. It was corrected and the guy got an immediate invite to take the test.

Also, our class was told to send in recs.....in so many words, so HR can sort through the resumes.

Yep, time to make the move, Springer. I was wondering why you didn't. Anyway, enjoy. If you're in the schoolhouse we'll look each other up.

So captain pay will be $100 an hour more than Atlas and they'll get the B fund. How much longer will our group turn a blind eye to how grossly underpaid we are? Plus we give them "flexibility" on top of it.

In all honesty the 767 Captains can justify leaving if they're younger than 55. You'll make it up. At this point I'm hoping to upgrade to the 767 to make my resume look good for a real airline...

Our current union leaderships negotiating position is sadly the problem and many of the old heads whom have run this misguided ship with the famous "What are we willing to give up for...." Its as though our leadership doesn't believe our contribution is worth it.

Elections are coming up and it seems things are going in the right direction....time for a new way of getting to where this place deserves to be..
