My "guess" is that a significant majority, 90% or more, will bid the 74 as soon as their locks are released.

If that % is close it will work out to be about 25 NH's per year to the 76, average on the current staffing.

Very true. Most of us with previous 767 experience will also be bidding off ASAP due to $$$. Considering that and the fact that the 76 CAs with any time in type will be bidding off when their locks are up, something tells me green/green pairing issues will start cropping up again sooner than later.

That would explain why other 1224 furloughed pilots recently got a message from union encouraging them to apply to Atlas, like the preferential hiring from a year ago.

Yeah, I'm hoping some of my former coworkers will come over.

Hey, thanks again for the tip on the weekend market in TPE, by the way. Picked up some cool stuff.

Oh how wonderful! So glad you were able to take an opportunity to explore the amazing Taipei market!

Let that be motivation for the prospective Atlas employees! In TPE there is a weekend market with so many local (and some not so local) treasures to explore (and take home), it is a must see! Part of this market is the "flower market" where beautiful tropical flowers are there for purchase (locals only of course, this stuff won't fly to the states if you know what I mean). There is also beautiful local and imported wood works, some jaw dropping intricate, jade, and countless other such things. It would take weeks to really appreciate the variety of unique crafts for sale there!

Word is we lose TPE in July, although it's on the flight schedule way beyond that. Time will tell, but enjoy it while it's here.

Perhaps it has something to do with the 2 golden bananas getting re-painted into Polar colors? (It's a certificate to operate in China thing)

Either way I'm really sad if it does go away, that place is a jewel in this world!

Wait till you see the rest of the world on the 744...lots of jewels out there (and admittedly, lots of just plain rocks too)

Agreed, I really liked Taipei the couple times I was there. Went hiking in the national park outside the city. It was really cool.

Agreed. JD told us when he was doing some CVG flying a few weeks ago. At first, they were going to pull both airplanes for China, but now apparently just one. No info on new routes, but assume it's out of NRT.

Odd part is Jimmy in TPE doesn't know a thing about it, and someone looked up the flight schedule and it shows TPE runs through October. We'll see what happens.
