We Atlas pilots are generally the last to know, more or less, but as stated earlier, there will be retirements so there should be hiring to compensate for that if our aircraft/staffing numbers remain consistent. However, I'm sure once the poolies start getting called they will come on this forum and post their excitement. That will most likely be the first indication of movement so stay tuned and keep your eyes out for their posts.

If rumors are true and we truly do have pilots in various pools at the majors, they too will need replacing. Same thing, our poolies will post with joy when they get their call.

The WIAI conference is coming up March 6-8 2014 in Orlando.

2014 Annual International WAI Conference

If Atlas decides to attend (usually decided last minute), my advice would be to attend and visit their booth for a "mini-interview" if you will.

Thanks fr8. I'll look to that conference also and keep an eye on the forum.

What ever happened with this base bid? Did it get rescinded or did parking the two BCFs eliminate the need for some newhires? I'm getting antsy!

sandstorm,

Good catch...

The 8 x 767 Captains are out doing OE as we speak...

However, none of the new hire positions have been filled. So, it may just happen that poolies might get a call before another round of interview calls are made.

We are keeping the beer cold for you and others when you finally get that class date...keep the faith, brother. It'll happen!!

It's because I resigned...lol. Going to American, 2nd new-hire class. Atlas was a great opportunity and enjoyed the flying. Not having trip protection and the sub-standard retirement contribution, not so much.

Good luck to all. The 74 is fun to fly.
