We seem to have about 15 slots, or so, for new hires but as if the moment of this writing there doesn't seem to be any movement to fill them..yet. Only the Captain slots are being filled at this time. It all depends on need so keep your eyes out for new flying announcements, that will be a big I dictator usually. Winter/holiday time is generally the busiest time of year and this time last year they were slowing down the training dept. to put "all hands on deck". Around Christmas is when calls went out for January new hire classes.

Over half of the -400 Simulator Instructors (18) were sent back to the line for November and December. That's a good indication that there won't be a last minute new-hire class.
But they aren't used for the first three weeks of class, so they could still run a class starting in December with sims in January.

And was a special last min 767 typed or close enough class, it was not a 'pick in order of the highest score from the pool' class. The Jan 7th class was the normal 2 week notice pool call for both types.
