Thanks, buddy.

Unless its boldface/memory item I've never thought of asking another pilot for help/looking something up as being unethical. As an instructor/evaluator I loved hearing "I need to look that up" vs someone guessing.

My point of view. But then again...I have the job while others may not.

Its only one piece of the puzzle. An average grade will get you to Miami. The important stuff happens there.
Spot on advice.

Just got this email this morning regarding my upcoming interview next week...looks like they still need to fill some classes...

Dear Candidate,

Thank you so much for your interest in joining the Atlas Air team. We would like to update you on some exciting news regarding your interview next week. Atlas has identified several open positions and plan on offering some candidates a short notice First Officer training class during next week’s recruitment session.

If you would like to be considered for a short notice class you will need to be able to make a last minute schedule change to stay in Miami on the evening of your interview. Those that are offered a short notice class will need to report back to the Atlas Air Training Center the next morning for a pre-employment drug screen and other required paperwork.

During the morning session of each interview day the Atlas team will collect the names of those that are available to accept a short notice class and those that can spend an extra night in Miami to complete the pre-employment test. If you are not available for immediate employment please do not worry, if you are successful you will be placed on our preferential hiring list for a future date. Atlas plans to hire additional classes in 2013.

We appreciate your cooperation and wish you the best of luck on your interview.

Please do not respond to this email with your availability. If you are available, we will be collecting that information the morning of your interview.

Got the same. Anyone have a heads up on which short notice class dates they're looking at filling?

Word around here is that there will be an end of of January class with a ton of hew hires (30 or more if my brain is remembering correctly). Jeff Carlson came into our class today and said they need pilots today, even though yesterday would be preferable.

Boy, they don't waste time indoctrinating guys in the ways of the Atlas lifestyle...nothing like "schedule changes" before you are hired.

We will know more on the 15th. There is a base bid due out with the new DHL LAX based 767 flying factored in.

There will be a minimum of 20 767 pilots in a class that will start on January 28 (maybe more), in addition to the 12 already notified of a 74 class to start the same day. The drug test and some of the newhire paperwork must be completed and accepted BEFORE day 1 of indoc. TSA required.

Good luck boys and girls. Welcome to the Jungle.
