It can be very frustrating not to know where your resume sits in the stack of "to be called" or if it even made it to the "to be called" stack or if it was even received/printed and reviewed.
First off, please stop spinning what I said to make more out of it. I never said anything about being frustrated over not knowing where I sit in the stack. Your about the third person on this thread who has added more in response to me than what the original point was.
... It was rumored in the past that as the computer system receives the resumes/PAQs, if it recognizes your e-mail, and already received your info from that e-mail, it doesn't accept your new stuff. I have nothing to back this up, but it wouldn't hurt right?
Secondly, thanks for adding some MORE uncertainty. I sent my resume the first day, and then my resume and PAQ the second day from the one and only email address that I have. So now you have me doubting that they received my PAQ. Now if I make up a brand new email and send my stuff in again when they may already have two emails from me, they may pass judgement on me as a instant gratification seeking young rebel who is overzealous and conniving. RUMORS SUCK!

A couple points:
This may have been mentioned before, but it is probably worth repeating. For those who applied numerous months ago and are awaiting the first HR phone call, it might be beneficial to apply again from a different e-mail this time around. Also, if you are fortunate enough to have a current Atlas crew member recommend you through the internal system (which is basically a direct e-mail and LOR to HR), the company came out with a new system to track an applicant through the various steps. HR sends an e-mail to that crew member keeping them informed on which step of the interview process the recommended applicant has accomplished. I believe one of the e-mails was for receiving the resume and PAQ confirming the applicant is in the system.

I've done about 10 oceanic crossings, obviously not very many, but the Herk doesn't cross the pond much.
I hope my one downfall won't be the 73 type, but it comes with the ATP.
Either way, I'm over a year out, but Miami, Atlas and the lifestyle (plus all the cool people here in this thread), just sounds too good to be passed up.

I sent it another resume/paq in using a new email address only because the other day I was locked out of my ISP as someone tried to hack into my email. So I got a new email account and resent it before reading about this possible email address issue. Oh well!

Proud to say I've submitted my first airline application and it was with Atlas.
I don't expect a call, I don't meet all the qualifications, I'm still waiting for my passport and I put in the email I'm not available until Oct 2013, but I figured it's never to early to apply.
To all those applying in this window, Good Luck!!

I hope everyone is well over on the Atlas property. I would like to ask a question in regards to a timeline if possible. I did recently submit my resume and application in this open window.
Currently, I work overseas on a contract that requires a three month (90 day) notice to break. Therefore, it is a breakable contract with both monetary and non-monetary ramifications. Most importantly, a three month notice is considered to be a "proper professional" notice such as a two week notice here in the United States. I have never burned any bridges in this business and that practice has served me well.
With that being said...
If I were offered an interview opportunity with Atlas and asked when I could start, would telling them three months be considered too long or considered acceptable because of my contract.
Also, is it better to obtain letters of recommendation now or wait for the process to start with the phone interview? I'm hearing more and more that it is better once the process has started.
Any guidance is very much appreciated.
All the best and good luck!
