Two of Atlas's plane does not equal 20%, and that's all we have there as of now.

Qantas Freight is a stand alone airline.

Are they still interviewing? Or are they just pulling from the pool?

They haven't pulled anyone from my pool!! Seems like they are bypassing the pool and hiring people already rated in the 767.

Bloomerpilot, how long have you been in the pool? Does anyone know how many are in the pool and how long has the longest "swimmer" been there? With the forecast purchase of aircraft, required staffing, coupled with the rumor of no more hiring this year, it seems as if the pool would be drained by this fall as long as they are running regular training classes of 10 per month.....assuming there are approx 60-70 folks there.

408 will not be going back to EK flying. That is confirmed. Just 415 and 497 will be flown solely for EK.

Also, 2 planes does not equate to 20% of Atlas flying. As for the draw down in other flying such as AMC and QF when and if it happens, Atlas can allocate those planes to other locations where the demand needs it, i.e. the South America market or other charter type flying.

As said before, there will not be any new hires besides on the 767 until fall at the earliest due to the classic pilot transition. The training center is running full tilt and the last transition class does not start until mid June.

I know it is hard to hear, but you guys might need a life raft.

Godd luck.

Just heard they've added a 767 class, which means new-hire classes in March, April and May.
