The first 767-200 flies today (March 12th) for DHL out of CVG. That is the third 767 in our fleet. The next four DHL 767-200s will be delivered at roughly a rate of one per a month as they are converted and brought out of mx in Isreal. The first 747-8 is expected to be on property on May 23rd.

Gratz Cheese! I'm headed downrange in a couple of days. Will hopefully hear something soon.

Saw a 767 on the DHL ramp in CVG on the 11th. Full DHL livery with 'Operated by Atlas Air' text by the nose, NxxxGT. I'm guessing that was the plane? I was surprised to see the DHL paint instead of an Atlas or at least 'hybrid' scheme.

Nate- No different than a major owning an RJ and having a regional operate it, just painted whatever the major (owner) wants.

After stopping off at the local packy to pick up a case of beer and a small bag of Funyuns, I've apparently arrived at the pool..... Great info guys. Look forward to it.

Denise said a couple of 76 classes this spring as has been discussed here already then they would most likely start up end of the year.....

Hvydvr,

Congrats! Drink a few PBRs for me. I'm personally looking forward to some possible Ramstein runs this fall for a couple of 1878s or three from the north side shoppette. I miss those days flying C-9s out of there and can't wait to start flying in Europe again.

I have been with Atlas since August 1st. I left CVG last night and the Captain was awesome enough to let me have the takeoff out of Cincy and the landing in Bahrain. After 6 months with Atlas, I have one thing to say. WOW! What a great company. The 747-400 is a dream to fly. I have been flying C17's and C141's my whole career, but this 400 is so nice to fly!!!

Nobody cares about the other crap that goes on here. My goal is to get good guys hired. I am a C141 and C17 retired guy and I have no clue about who is buying whom and what is going on with the industry. I'm okay with that!!!! I have no clue what fish is talking about and that doesn't bother me at all!! I have been flying heavy airlift for 22 years. All this crap about who is buying whom means NOTHING to me.

If you want to be hired by Atlas, I have some great gouge!! I personally wrote a very detailed synopsis of the interview.

I am happy that you are happy and I also agree that this is a great place to work! However, you should be very concerned what happens with the rest of the industry. The events that take place in the future could mean that you are out of a job, receive a major paycut, lose senoirity, etc.

When I say this, I mean not disrespect: this is no longer the military. This is no longer a government job. Our competitors could put us out of work causing us to have to find other jobs that I could assure you would not be as amazing as this one.

Again, I am as excited as you are about being here! However, it is in our best interest to be aware of our surroundings and not shove our heads in the sand.
