Looks like us regular Joe's, who don't have the luxury of holding a -76 type, don't stand a chance of getting an interview, let alone get hired, at Atlas anytime soon.

I wouldn't bet on that. Right now, there's a lot of transitions going on as you have read. Not having a 76 type won't matter. Even if you did, you'd go through a full course as a new hire.

Anyone can be taught to fly the plane...what can't be taught is the way Atlas flies as opposed to scheduled operators. If you can't be flexible, it might not be a good choice.

So press on and good luck!

Yes, you misundersood. Don't be so thinskinned.

Of course it does. All I'm pointing out is that you didn't have the equipment to fly your contract due to late delivery of a D check airplane.

Again, all I did was point out that if Atlas acquired NAA assets it would give you trained crews, extra airplanes and their ACMI contracts to help build your business.

Sheesh! You guys have some kind of inferiority complex?
No, you have a personality disorder. First you troll the Virgin board, now you troll the Atlas board. Don't worry, the FFD will nail it down for you.

Come on now, get this thread back to what its supposed to be. No more BS.

The more Atlas drains the pool, the more likely they will interview sooner than later. After these classes (3/19, 4/9) there should be around 40-50 left in the pool (educated guess). A few more classes after that and they should have to interview again.

Us poolies and hopefuls should not lose hope. Scheduled growth is coming down the pipe in 2012.

Just stay in the fight. This could be a very big year if it plays out....

Unless you are the CEO of the outfits concerned, or some hot-shot lawyer negotiating the deal, nobody really knows.

We need to move this conversation to another thread. This stuff about mergers and acquisitions, fireside sales of Chapter 11 assets, and how they fit the Atlas plan perfectly, is pure speculation at best...

Let's just move on...there is nothing to see here!!

Let's take this thread back to where it belongs...if you don't have input, questions, suggestions, about hiring at Atlas, please move on, and start another conversation elsewhere on APC...

There are plenty of people trying to better their lives, and are looking for real answers about how to get a job at Atlas...let's all try to move in that direction and help them.

Never say never, KCheese! ... I don't think anyone can figure out the reasoning as to what goes on at any airline HR department, let alone Atlas'. Keep your fingers crossed, and sacrifice a few beverages to the tiki gods of hiring when you are doing the same for the tiki gods of commuting and scheduling. You never know when that phone will ring!

Couldn't have said it better myself 744'. This Thread is for those of us who actually CARE about getting hired at Atlas! Let's keep it to that, please. If nobody responds to the Catfish, then just maybe......

Thanks 'Moose for Da words of encouragement, they will not go unheeded. Also my Tiki gods totem, and or sacrifice pole will not go thirsty for some time now.
