I see zero classics scheduled for flying. I searched all the obvious cities and it's all 400's. Any news?

The new bid they put out show a bunch of -400 vacancies, and still a surprising number of -200 pilots remaining. More 76F CAs than I expected as well.

We had 2 400Fs added to the fleet to, and they're online as of today. So that will require pilots to fly.

Anyone else read the Big Cheese's email about 2012 and Growth? I hope they welded the wheels to the bus.

What email are you talking about, Jerry? There hasn't been one in the last week or so, at least...

I agree with what you say, but I haven't seen the email you refer to...

Wouldn't want the "wheels coming off the bus" now, would we?

I have a feeling BayBum understood the refrerence, but WHY are the wheels going to come off in 2012?

The email was out 4JAN12 about an "Organizational Announcement". I check my email when I show up for work, whether I need to or not (ha).

Talks about GROWTH and navigating growth a lot. Anytime that is bandied about, it makes me nervous. I spent 9 years at an explosive growth operation, and there were days I wondered how much more we could disappoint our customers.

I think, fundamentally, the organization is on good footing (even if I shake my head when I'm at work at times) and the planes being placed have work.

Anyway, best of luck to you guys in the pool. If they do a decent job, I think we'll not have to go back to ass-kissing folks to fly their shiney machines as new hires for some time.

We have been going through "transformational growth" since I got here in late 1996...except a short couple of years after Michael Chowdry's death.

How long before class do they typically notify folks for a class?
