Treading water in the pool with you... have not heard anything definitive... talked with DB briefly before holidays, gave indication that phone calls will be made in mid Jan to "all" those that are currently in the pool as to what to expect in the coming months... hopefully some firm class dates for a lucky few or even some tentative ones for the bottom dwellers (since we're all racked and stacked)... I had heard that further interviews had been pushed back to June time frame but now are back on for February so am taking that as a positive sign... hope we both get the call soon!!

Cliff, this is John H from USA Jets (currently with Avenge Inc.). Your old email doesn't work anymore and I don't have your phone number. Is it possible for you to contact me?

Just read all 283 pages...wow. I'd have to say the Atlas folks on here are 1st class for all they've shared to help the next wave(s) of pilots out. Incredible amounts of information with nary a negative about the job. Bravo!

Hope to have my resume in by next week.

No one can really say! Send your stuff in, and keep updating it. The phone won't ring, if you don't give them your number! Take each part of the process seriously, and make sure you've done your homework with the online test before you decide to take it.

Good luck and keep after it!
Thanks for the feedback. I'm studying all the details that left my head in anticipation of a phone call and opportunity to take the online test, and of course practicing my backstroke!

But the parking of the -200s has begun. Unfortunately, the first group of PFE's were just furloughed and the training center will be plugged with the -200 pilots in -400 school.

Good luck.
Thanks for the encouragement. In the day at Mesa we had a lot of captains go to Atlas (Polar) and unfortunately I never kept in touch with them. I'm scrambling to get a friend of an Atlas pilot to at least let me beg a letter from. Thanks again!

To the Atlas pilots, I don't believe I saw this asked anywhere...is it normal to stay together as a crew for an entire trip?

It is normal to NOT stay together. Some bases tend to the more traditional with crews staying together, but by a VERY far margin, the norm is constant change, daily. errrrrrrrrrrr I mean more like every few hours.

What whaledriver really means is that there is nothing that is NORMAL at Atlas, isn't that right?!!

In fact, I have even been told in the past that we are not really an airline, just a B2B outsourcing outfit that just happens to move airplanes to bring in revenue.

I fly with the same Captain every couple of years, the longest I've stayed together as a crew, is about a week.
