Here are a couple of questions I have not found reading this thread. First, is there a link somewhere to the new contract at Atlas? I have gathered the high points, but would like to read it myself. Second, How do they keep crews safe in some of the less stable and less US friendly parts of the world? I am considering persuing this job more and more and it sounds like I might have at least a slim chance with my mostly 135/91 background 4300 tt and 1300 turbine PIC.

We have a Corporate Security Department that uses Government and non-government sources to get intel on the various places we overnight. The regular places, like NBO, have dedicated security contractors that the company hires that escort us through the airport, and all the way to the hotel, and beyond.
I don't want to get into too much detail but all the off-line flights get a thorough review from Flight Ops, MX, AND Security teams...I have heard of situations where the Security Dept has overruled the others and flights have been refused, or other arrangements have been made such as double crewing so we don't layover in those places...etc.
The rest of it is up to you...don't go out at night in Lagos, Nigeria...no $hit, right? But guess what? we have had guys that have done stuff like that. Common sense is your guide in those situations also...
Hope this helps...good luck.

Took the test last night & I concur with Wolfpack's assessment....WHEW!!! That's a load off, and happily a pass reported on the test summary page. I understand there are interviews in Jan and I hope to buzz on down the Turnpike for a slot!
I went to the EWR job fair in October, where I dropped off my Resume. Got the call to take the test last Monday. Prior non-flying military (Navy Subs) & 9 years in the RJ with one measly year in the left seat...you guessed it....Comair! This has been the best thing to have come my way in my aviation career. I hope it comes to fruition so I can be a part of a fantastic operation! All my friends over there are really loving it!!

KCheese, I pretty much ditto all the study aids Wolfpack mentioned. "Everything Explained" has a wealth of information, AC-0045 is the WX Bible...know it...love it...especially the symbology!! One last resource that may have been mentioned elsewhere in this monster-thread is NAT procedures, which are contained in this ICAO document:

Hit the books hard!!
Hey you guys....after taking the test, what kind of time-frame was involved in the next company contact? Was is for the interview?
Thanks!!

As Tom Petty says, the waiting is the hardest part. I was called for an interview the next day, but there were interviews coming up. Next interviews are in January, probably depends on if the slots have been filled. All you can do is email the HR rep who sent you the link for the test and try not to check your phone every 10 seconds!

+1. I emailed the HR rep that sent the link--something to the effect of "I passed the online test and emailed the NHPS form as instructed. Thank you for your time." After a one day wait, I was offered my choice of interview dates via an email. YMMV.
