Yep, it's been addressed.

Make sure you are opening the document as well as filling it out with the latest Adobe Reader.

Also, at least when I took it, make sure you have the latest flash updates. The first question that used a pop up diagram caused a complete freeze up of the test. Exited out, updated the flash player, and it worked fine after that.

YMMV.

Can anyone who's taken the new 100 ? Test (or anyone who might be in the know) please elaborate on the types of questions now on that test please? Is it an expansion on the old 50 ? test with similar ?'s coming from the same bank maybe, or is it a revamp of the entire test, or is it 50 brand new ?'s from a new bank that go along with the old profile of questions that I have been studying rigorously? Is there a new direction to go with the studying for the new 100 ? Test? As always any help is greatly appreciated. I WANT this job!

Studied the gouge on the previous 9 bazillion pages of this thread and it was pretty good for the 100 question super-test. "Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot" and "Ace the Technical Pilot Interview" are good ways to prep also. As said before, Wx symbols, CAT 2 equip and mins, NAT track stuff and a bunch of general Wx and AIM stuff are on there. I went as quick as I could and answered about 92 qestions. What I DON'T know is whether you'll get a better score if you guess or if you just skip questions, i.e. does an unanswered question count against you as much as an incorrect one. Don't care though, since I was lucky enough to pass.

Just finished the 100 question test...ugh, I'm in a daze and feel kinda numb from the experience.

All the previous gouge was spot-on, thanks to all that have contributed in the past.

What I used for prep:
- as I mentioned, all the previous gouge
- Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot (referenced the most)
- Aviation Weather Services AC 00-45G (used a few times)
- Ace the Technical Pilot Interview (used once)
- FAR/AIM (security blanket that I never cracked open)

Besides the usual suspects (TAF/METAR, wx symbols, NAT stuff, Jepps), there were a lot more weather phenomena-type questions than I anticipated (turbulence associated with jetstream, troposphere, visual illusions of final and takeoff). I recognized many from my ATP exam; Sheppard Air has a great product for studying...wish I would have studied that more prior to taking the test!

The 60 mins ran out on me on question 98. It became a trade off the last 20 minutes between taking time to double-check my answers vs. go with my gut/instincts.

Good luck to all future test takers...

Wolfpack

I've heard that some candidates will tag team the test with buddies who assist them.

How long did it take for you guys to get the test "invite" after you submitted your resume and PAQ? Thanks.

I was told last month there were no new hire classes for Nov and Dec. There were classes for internal differences training. I'm assuming for the -8F or 767? But no new hire classes until atleast the first of the year... Anxiously waiting in the pool myself...

I think the differences training that you were told is likely transition training for 742 Captains and FOs to go to 744...

Good luck with the swim...I'm sure you are going to get a call in the new year.
