Are bases assigned, chosen, or bid based on seniority? How quickly could someone get HSV?

One of the guys on APC was just awarded his first choice (he lives near one of the bases) in the latest award published yesterday...he has been on the line for only 2 months!!

That said, HSV is sort of the default base for new-hire base assignment...and is subject to change as the needs of the company change.

And, past performance does not guaranty future gains!!

Almost a year ago when I started class, there were roughly 140 mandatory retirements by December 31, 2014. About 40-45% in 10 years as previously mentioned. It was almost 50%, but now that we have hired so much it brings down the percentage.

Hey you guys getting hired at Atlas, what were your flight times like? I'm at a regional and want to leave and I'm really starting to like Atlas. I currently have 2000TT 1300Turbine no turbine pic though. Going to get the ATP after the holidays. After that, i will apply. Am I even competitive enough for them to even look at me? Does no turbine PIC hurt me that much? Will apply regardless, just was curious what you guys think.

I'm currently in the pool. I interviewed in Sept. Best of luck! You can't get hired if you don't apply.

An internal would be a big help, but you never know. I'd definitely put my stuff in if I was at all interested.

Some of the new hires have had as few as 4000 or so hours. everyone I have met had at least 1000 PIC jet. The mins are 2500 TT and 1000 turbine. I don't think they will look at you at all until you meet those mins, so I would wait for 2500 TT, then apply. They have been hiring a lot more RJ type guys than they were at the beginning.
