Atlas Air Hiring
#2311
Correct, but actually, it has to do with the placing of folks that have the same date of hire. In Atlas's case, if a 767 and 744 class were to start on the same day, the order would be detemined by last four of SSN, lowest to highest.

I am in the August 1st 400 class. Your seniority within your class is based on your age(ie. your retirement age). Your SSN has absolutely nothing to do with anything in terms of seniority within your class. I checked on this by looking at the list and because I am the oldest FART in the class, I ended up with the most senior, seniority number.

c. For both the Flight Engineers and Pilots seniority lists, when two or more individuals begin training on the same date, the oldest shall be placed first on the applicable seniority list first. If two or more such individuals have the same birth date their placement on the applicable seniority list will be determined using the last four digits of their social security numbers, with the individual having the greater number placed on the list first.

I stand corrected. I looked back at the classes for the past year and saw that it was by age. Haven't had time to read the CBA yet(over 300 pages of it). Too busy in training. 3 sims and a check left. Rating ride on Saturday. Thanks for the info. Good luck to all the new hires and soon to be hired. This is a great company to work for. They expect hard work out of you and when you get here, you will work hard to get through training, but it's worth it. Cheers!

Got the call this afternoon for the Oct 10th 767 class!! Holy cow! That's only a couple of weeks away.
For those that are curious. I interviewed July 28th. About 6600 turboprop total time with 2600 PIC.
Good luck to all, and I'll see some in MIA.
