If this was a question about expectations, you will have to perform to standards.

Rough numbers only: About 10% need extra sessions. About 5% don't make it. Different airlines do and have had significantly different wash rates. So I view this question as one of statistics rather than asking about whether performance to standards will be expected.

Seems about 1 in 20 don't get through, but how this happens varies. We don't have published numbers that delineate people who resign to take a dream job from people who resign because they're not a good fit. So we can only go with direct observations and anecdotal data. That's also why about 5% and 10% were my rough wags at answering the person's questions. We have better data about who needs extra work since there are defined courses, and we can measure how many sims go into a particular candidate. But this number varies a little bit from class to class.
The poster's question, I believe, was legitimate since some airlines used to have extremely high fail rates. For someone using this job as a stepping-stone, it's a serious consideration. I think we have enough data to say, regardless of whether you like or dislike our courses, that our wash rates are in the range of "normal". 5% and 10% convey this idea with enough accuracy to help that person. In the past I shared some statistics with more robust data and effort put into them. I haven't put that level of attention into these.

At this point- I wouldn’t be surprise to see hiring grind to a halt in 23’ with possible furloughs.
Shipping rates are plunging, demand is weaking and all the billionaires are letting us know. It’s been a 7 year bill market for Atlas, and the good
times don’t always roll- be prepared, it’s ACMI after all. Don’t forget that.
