No offense.... but I hope not. We don't need more outsourcing, we need an LOA on compensation that will attract domestic pilots. Outsourcing foreign pilots hurts the entire pilot group. I still don't get how the pilot group allows this/union doesn't fight it.

Nothing against the pilots at all. It's the policy that sucks.

I was told that Atlas was hiring anyone, and then trying to get their right to work after they were hired. Then, another Atlas person told me that they were not exactly doing this.
I was also told some people are taking 9 mos or so to get their right to work after they were hired.
So, if u want to work at Atlas, even with no right to work, I would apply and go from there...

Potential New Hire here. Currently working at a regional and am highly interested in coming to Atlas. would really prefer 74 or 777. Any chance of this happening right out of training? Also, when do you find out fleet assignment in during the hiring process?

Potential New Hire with the HR/Tech interview in a month. currently at a regional and highly interested in coming to Atlas for the Wide bodies. Any chance of 74 or 777 right out of training? Also, at what point of the New Hire process would you find out fleet assignment?

There were 49 new hires down at the training center getting sized for uniforms earlier this week. Unsure if all were 74 or a mix but it was a very crowded event. Talked to our Hiring Department Lead and they had over 280 bodies show up for the roadshows down under. Unsure if that was signed on, interviewed, applicants or just a conglomerate of all of the above to include looky-loos. Probably people in their various stages of interest and a sign up sheet was involved. Either way, training center bogged down like most. One sim pitched a fit for 5 days not long ago (abnormal) that added to the toll. Some friends of mine as Check Airman mentioned they may fly with their students 1 or 2 days, maybe 3 days tops and they wait for another to check with. Meanwhile the students sit in hotels for awhile and could have stayed a day or 2 longer knocking out requirements. Crazy times.

As part of the pilot hiring team, I just attended training. There may have been a few offers to folks working on Visas a months back, but at this point Atlas is not making CJO’s (conditional job offers) to anyone unless they already have a visa, Green Card or are part of the Aussie population that can get visas in 6-8 weeks.

We stopped interviewing any other categories several months ago.

How do you want the Union to fight something that is legal?
What’s next on your list? Green card holders?
Personally I dislike hiring pilots from Alaska.
Because you know…it’s not ‘Murica.

Add California to that list too. Because we hate those liberal commies.

Nobody from the Regionals either, too diversified for me.
We should only hire angry old white males who’ve flown the Classic.
Domestic stock is running low, that must be why they’re hiring ‘Strayans.
Meanwhile I’m still doing Classic procedures as they’re too woke for me in the Training Center.
