Atlas Air Hiring
Atlas Air Hiring
I would say yes. I fly with turboprop drivers turned Atlas pilots pretty frequently. You seem to have quite a bit of experience. I’d apply if you’ve done your homework and are interested.

The world is a strange place. I've come to peace with the fact that anything I think would be a no-brainer (like hiring a 24000 hour pilot to fly jets for a few more years) somehow are bad ideas as determined by HR or some guy at the panel. I'd say apply if you need work. If we don't hire you it's our loss, not your failure. Come on over! If you like talking about weird stuff somewhere over the middle of nowhere, I'll write you a letter. PM me!

Long time lurker, first time poster here.
Applied for wide-body FO yesterday. The application was much shorter than expected, just a resume upload, basic personal/contact info, and a few questions related to hours. Oh and veteran/disability status. That was it. Did I miss something? I was expecting pages and pages like airline apps was.

If selected to move forward, anyone know the typical timeline for how fast things move? Granted with the current virus situation everything’s literally up in the air. Thanks!

For what it’s worth, unless you are/were at one of the regionals that closed its doors (or is about to do so), I can’t emphasize enough how much I would recommend staying in that left seat until you get your 1,000 TPIC. This is not to dissuade you from coming to Atlas. I just know too many people who left a left seat somewhere before getting that magic number and ended up setting their careers back for years while they tried to get back into the left seat.

You are employable, for sure. 1000 121PIC is going to come a lot faster where you are at. Still I'll try to help if you need it.
