I think one or two crashes down the road is when the FAA starts getting called out for not shutting this down.

Allow me to provide a very brief synopsis of your "amalgamated" comments:
"Atlas sucks."
"The union sucks."
"The FAA sucks."
Did I miss anything? How about providing some comments that are constructive and forward thinking for a change? Have a great weekend.
Outside of Atlas the system needs to be reformed to where standardized training records are made automatically available for your interview. That would've ended CA's career and saved lives (including his...). I don't believe that even Atlas would've hired him had they known....
The other two...we can argue about.
Talk about being positive, your posting history shows all you do here is wail and moan on Atlas/AAWH/ATI/Southern threads.
You’re like the resident violinist.
There is a program in the works where air carriers would submit pilot training records to a central registry and an air carrier hiring pilots would submit their request to the registry and not just the air carriers on the applicant's resume. But it’s been moving at the speed of government. I’ve got a feeling the Houston crash may expedite it.
It's here, in Beta mode. Everybody can (and should!) log in and check your record for accuracy.
Some things might be missing because it's still a work in progress, but obviously you want to make sure your record doesn't reflect erroneous negative info.

The Case for Moving the Thread to Cargo or Charter:
There was a time when people were genuinely interested in coming to Atlas. Questions on this thread, if you look way back, were related to hiring, etc. Now this is basically a thread full of shop-talk. We fly passengers as well as freight, and the future of how much freight we fly versus passengers is hard to predict.
The Case for Keeping this Thread Here in Hiring:
At some point Atlas will get a new contract. Conditions change. Just as this was once a destination airline that has become a laughing stock, the same thing can happen in reverse. Look at Kalitta. If and when we round whatever corner we have to round, there will be renewed interest in getting aboard here. People will want to know the details and history that we've discussed here. Looking through this deep thread, sorting the wheat from the chaff of the thousands of pages of discussions, would be decent information for whoever takes an interest in coming here should we return to some semblance of a real airline. This thread has become a valuable archive. Moving it will won't erase the information, but it will be less accessible.
Also, there are already tons of Atlas threads in Cargo.
A third option:
Make an Atlas/Southern subgroup, just like FedEx and UPS have. Cram all things Atlas and Southern in there so we stop filling up space all over the board.

Atlas pilots lost another couple of judgements in court today. Chances for a decent future contract got much slimmer and further down the road. Executive leadership is still trying to litigate its way to success. More impetus for current pilots to leave, and most of us are job hunting in earnest. Based on the news today, that is accelerating quickly. It is our belief that Atlas is on death's doorstep. Good luck to all. See you guys at a job fair.
