I flew with an FO who was thinking about going to Mountain Air Cargo. They don't have flow through to FedEx, but they have a PRIORITY interview: They get interviewed before anyone else. MAC had a good base location near his home, which was also part of the reason he was considering MAC.
On a lighter note.....the Purchase spin machine just announced a GOFLO....the lucky pilots of GOjets get a guaranteed interview to serve Atlas after a qualifying peroiod of purgatory at the aforementioned. I find it kind of ironic as I just flew with an FO who applied to Envoy to joins as a DEC. The circle of life at the bottom of the pond.
Thank you for providing another reason to highlight why you should just be ignored. Over 60% of the pilot group at Atlas are FNGs to you. So if they don't agree with your version of reality they are just brainless drones incapable of thought?

All I see is a petulant child stomping his feet and running his mouth because he is no longer relevant in the pilot group. Wouldn't even surprise me if he's actively working to subvert the pilot group out of spite before he retires and truly becomes a nobody. Why don't you work on being a positive influence on the group and leave something good behind instead of trying to break it all down because no one wants you in the union anymore. (Que claims he's actively sought to sort the union mess out all the time).

and have insecurities. To get past being a drone, you have to learn how to call BS on statements by BK that are at least misleading and in many cases complete fabrications instead of just listening to his calls with your jaw hanging down to your chest thinking everything he says is true. It's called character. His past felony embarrassing all aviators probably should have been a clue and his co-felons shunning him might have been even a bigger clue. He now enjoys a guaranteed income of unknown amount to last to the end of his term despite his mandatory retirement earlier on.

As to being relevant, there probably isn't a day that goes by that an Atlas member doesn't touch on something that others and I built for their safety, security, and general welfare here. Of course, BK flushed most of us out now to reinvent history in his preferred image claiming everything as his idea now. Sound familiar to US politics? Many I hold in high regard, wouldn't capitulate to his BS and were replaced recently. I as others have heard what BK says on P2P calls and most have recognized that it is now his personal propaganda machine to create lists, shun members, and etc vs what it was originally set up for communications wise prior to his arrival. I did warn the administration when we set up P2P that it could easily be used this way by less scrupulous leadership. A double edged sword cutting both ways and it has come to fruition.
I have never "saved the day" per se, only advised leadership in the past of possible outcomes of certain actions and then ultimately implemented their resulting decisions. That is until BK, whom has little moral grounding and has been willing to burn members by misleading them and letting them put themselves in danger. Let alone burning any that calls BS such as the FPL amendment supporters.

Speaking in broad terms...
Unless you are really serious about jumping on the ACMI program. Absolutely have the burning desire to fly for what basically amounts to a sub-contractor, there should be, in this day and age, no reason or need to put your credentials on the line, potentially putting a high dollar career with a major airline at risk by accepting a position with a service provider airline.
Even if it's just to try it out, you may pink slip the program or get yourself violated on the line and jeopardize your potential going forward.

Consider your audience too....the reason a good amount of applicants even attempt to come here is because they lack some measured qualification to be competitive. So, they either risk staying wherever they may be currently flying whether it be single pilot cargo in IMC in a lance or overseas in a king air, both of which I consider to have far more exposure from a risk based analysis than flying one leg a day in a 121 environment.
Rather than try an push an attrition narrative from the perspective that Atlas stinks, we should tell prospective candidates that we don't want them here if they are just going to get a type and run!!! In other words, stay where you are and then go to Fedex or UPS. It kills two birds with one stone and in the process doesn't make membership posters on this forum look like petulant children whining and complaining about "how horrible life is at Atlas.........but i'm staying".
Think about from a risk based analysis. Would you want to fly with someone whom already has one foot out the door..not focused because they are already dreaming of the UPS paycheck...with the attitude of "EFF IT"....I'm outta here? For me, no thanks. That makes MY job harder!

Some of the information on that website is useful if you know how to put it into context i.e., the contract, to understand line protections or lack thereof but it was generated by the union so it is heavily slanted which is to be expected during contentious contract talks. In an effort to be more transparent, it may have been prudent to post more current investor articles rather than ones that are two years old or ones that are cherry picked to perpetuate a particular narrative. Currently, investors are happy with Atlas air as reflected by the stock price as of the date of this posting and other industry analysts in more recent articles. It's just politics.

Delta has AQP and therefore a FAR SUPERIOR training program than Atlas (which is largely self guided and self taught).
If you bust out at a Legacy you probably shouldn't have been there in the first place.

"substandard" is based on one's perspective as is "having the ability to reach higher fruit". NO ONE has a crystal ball into another's life or qualifications or career expectations......and "on the first grab"? Give it a rest....that is totally subjective.
Come here if you want...or not. But do your homework. Download the contract and ask questions. Don't make an emotionally based decision. But I agree to just come here and bounce is not the most effective way to move ahead in one's career.

There are far more metrics with which to compare training programs....compensation...days off...CBT's....travel to and from....conflict bidding....Can you contribute additional elements?
As far as the self taught and self guided claims that NO ONE on this forum has answered....what are you training expectations? Are you expecting one on one instruction? Do you want more classroom time with an instructor to read the FCOM? I'm asking a serious question...not goading you....I thought that although the training program IS largely self guided, it was a method that was quite complimentary to my learning style.
Who are you, Chuck FREAKIN' Yeager? LMFAO!!!!! It will be interesting to see in the coming days if anyone else slams you for this comment.
