Heard that there are two more 74 classes planned but only enough applicants to fill one.

I don’t know. Was told by a sim instructor that some check airmen we have a couple of check airmen being sent to get their types. Maybe they haven’t finished? Or maybe he was fed or is feeding misinformation?

This makes sense because the last 747 new hire class was reportedly only about half full.

New, great contract, for ALL Atlas/Southern pilots means ALL classes full in all airframes for Atlas/Southern!!!

Agreed... I feel bad for anybody that has to create multiple usernames to drum up artificial support for themselves. It’s sad.

It’s still technically not junior manning, which is calling in reverse seniority and whoever answers first goes. It’s at their need and their discretion of which square peg to fit into the round hole. It’s actually worse because there’s no way to see how/why they use xxx over xyz reserve. We need a new CBA with some QOL improvements.

At some point I fully expect them to extend even Line Holders and say they're "Protecting the Operation".... Hopefully I'm gone by then.

For the record, after asking several other instructors, no one else was aware of anyone having been sent to be typed on an Airbus. It appears my first source was passing out bad information.

I thought this was talked about and debunked months ago. No one has gone to get an A330 type.
