You can not be assigned a line that puts you into 17x17. ex. You are bidding number 100, there are only 70 lines that get you the required break. ONLY bid those 70 lines in your desired order. (otherwise you are volunteering) You can't be assigned any of the remaining lines. They will build a line that complies after everything else is awarded, usually a R2 line, or whatever they want.

Thanks for the input. That was absolutely not my experience or the contention of the head of scheduling. It was a while back but as stated I most certainly did NOT bid for the line that was assigned to me. I did NOT check the box allowing a trip to exceed 17 days. In fact the line they assigned me was adjusted by them to create the 17-X-17 otherwise it would have been 17-17 and then would have to give me the 7 day block. If you are telling me they have changed their interpretation of "more than 17 consecutive duty days," then I'm very happy to hear that.

What was said by the company? LIES, LIES and MORE LIES

# of people that showed up? If even 1 showed up to interview at this train wreck of a company then that was way too many!

Seriously.....why is anyone interviewing at Atlas. 98% of Atlas pilots are telling you not to come here and yet morons still apply.

was there some xort of announcement on their hiring? Noticed the airline's profile hiring status was updated to not currently hiring. Just wondering if there is something I missed in the rumor mill.

According to APC, Atlas Air is no longer hiring. I believe this to be true as our management has told us that they are "adequately staffed".

Big difference between somebody with years of seniority taking a paycut to leave, vs. an applicant from 91/135, regionals, or the military conducting a job search during what will probably go down in history as the the best pilot hiring climate ever.
