76 Captains are bolting as fast if not faster than 74 guys. A 74 CA slot taken by a 76 Captain creates two training events which is accounted for and part of the cost of doing business at a legitimate airline. As we all know this is an illegitimate excuse of an outfit coming apart at the seams. They had their chance to make this a legit world class airline but greed and Lorenzoitis compelled them to set this course and now we are over open water and out of gas. Time to get your ditching checklist organized.
Terminology that might not be understood by the younger generation.

There hasn't been a 747 CA class in a vacancy award in about 6 months... bid what you want and want what you bid...

I bet they start running CA classes of 12 every 3 weeks starting in Feb. This year they'll lose more 747 Captains than they did last year. I know 2 in the pool at UPS and a 3rd with a class date and that's just the people I know of and one company.

I'll take that bet. 76 CA only for the first half of the year at least. Hope I'm wrong but they have been planning for this for a very long time.

Haha GM.....I'm nothing to do with Miami. I'm just guessing based on past practices of crew planning. I sincerely hope I'm wrong and you are right amigo.

Wisest words of wisdom.
The lifestyle differences between the 76 and the 74 are very different.
76: Standard hub and spoke flying. Far more domestic flying. The senior guys get to do the overseas trips.
74: Leave America on Day 1 and usually don’t see America until last day (night if you are HSV based) of the trip. Point to point flying usually, until you land in India without a Visa, d’oh!
On the 74 we have a studio apartment. Office at the front, bathroom and kitchen next, then the living room, and finally the bedrooms. Downstairs there is the garage. And below that is the basement.
IMHO, Just enjoy what you have, it sure beats working at the regionals.
