So I've been hearing lately
Stressed carrier and distressed carrier status for atlas.
Due to numerous serious incidents, and numerous minor incidents.
Sounds like you'll be greeted in the sims and online more often by the Feds

We’ve hired many pilots with the bare minimum. I’ve been on their OE flights and let me tell you I’ve never been so frightened in an airplane in my life. The inexperience definitely shows; hence, the distressed carrier comments. You can definitely get hired with your qualifications but I pray for the safety of my friends and myself that you at least have some jet time. Also, the whale-sized enthusiasm will be smacked out of your orbit after 3 months on the line. Welcome aboard, Captain Ahab.

Anyways, I feel it would be an excellent opportunity to segue myself into the 121 cargo world. After chucking bags, mail, soda pop, and everything else under the rainbow doing 10+ IFR legs a day transitioning to 3-4 landings a month sounds pretty decent. We all know perception is much different than reality however.

1. Regional FO's with no upgrade in sight. Upgrade at Atlas is currently 3-5 years from what I understand.
2. Regional CA's whose future is bleak and are not getting noticed. I took a chance that a widebody type rating at Atlas would help me get noticed elsewhere and it seemed to work. UPS and FedEx both sent notice to Atlas that they intend to have as much as 25% of all new hire guys be Atlas pilots.
