I too am still swimming in the pool and interviewed in Jan. Not sure if there is anyone in the pool from last year or not. Anyone have an accurate count of how many people in the pool right now? Is Atlas doing any interviews in May? Patiently waiting for the phone to ring!

If you are in the pool, send your email address to [email protected]. I will try to make a spread sheet and will pass it on to all poolies. Let me know your email, date of interview and school date. If anyone has any other suggestions or thinks this is a bad idea let me know.

Is the pool at Atlas Competitive......meaning... is the pool first in first out... or do they rank every one by some method and always call off of the top,...... which could mean someone (or two) near the bottom could concievably never get called?

Default yes and yes

HerkDriver...yes it is competetive so theoretically you could be swimming forever.

CVGRJ....yes however I have also been out as little as 13 days and as much as 20 days in a month. Plan on being away from home for 17 days each and every month.

I am in the same boat as you. Interviewed in Jan and patiently waiting for a call.

Not sure how many times this can be answered in a 160 something pages.

But YES.

Now with that said, this month I will be out 16 days in one pattern with one carry in. So, that is 17 work days and 14 off. In April I was at home for my 11 off( 2 stolen for x day pay) + 2 heavy rest days + 5 resident standby days.

So after all is said and done, I am home for 18 days and book 97 hours pay. Its an adventure, if you try to make it anything else you are going to be miserable. ( and so will everyone you fly with :-) )

What kinds of things are used to rack-and-stack poolies?
